Project Director – Mine Construction

Project Director Opportunity Globe 24-7, in partnership with our client – a leading Global Tier 1 mining company – has a rare opportunity for a Project Director to join a large mining operation based overseas.
This is an expat FIFO role from any global point of hire; and is a role that has high level visibility at the executive level.
The Role The primary purpose of the Project Director is to ensure the smooth delivery of all infrastructure, functions, and departments of a large mining operation.
The operation is a multi-billion dollar endeavour and is currently at the construction phase, with a scale of mine >80MTPA.
The successful candidate will have the rare opportunity to shape and guide some of the construction effort, to ensure best practice for operational readiness.
The Requirements Tertiary qualified, technical, mining engineering background. Experience working on the delivery of large (at least $100 million) mine construction or mine expansion projects. Strong mining engineering, processing, or maintenance background; with experience from operations into project delivery. Mining owner/operator experience; consulting experience is not applicable. Twenty to twenty-five years of career experience. Ability to commit to rotational work of 6/3 or possibly 4/2 weeks. The Rewards Work with a world-class, Tier 1 organisation.
