About the job Worley has been selected by Hydro Tasmania as their Delivery Partner for the delivery of the Tarreleah Hydro Project in Tasmania and is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Directors who have worked on large scale public infrastructure projects (more than $1.5B). The Project features significant civil engineering works (tunnelling, shafts and large diameter pipeline) as well as a hydro power station. You will lead a team to partner closely with our customer in an Integrated Owners Team (IOT) to procure a preferred EPC contractor, and subsequently work closely with our customer and the successful EPC contractor to deliver on the project objectives in the Execution Phase of the Project.
The primary work location for this role is in Hobart, Tasmania (short-term, alternate location arrangements can be discussed and agreed).

What you'll do Demonstrate visible leadership to the project team, embodying values and behaviours of the Project Charter, with Safety always at the forefront Oversee the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plans, processes, tools and systems for the IOT, drawing on the Worley Management system. Oversee the buildup of the IOT as the Project proceed into Execution Phase. Lead the IOT in the evaluation of the prospective EPC Contractors and major E&M Equipment Contractor. Manage the competitive ECI phase for the EPC Contract, which will ultimately result in selection of a preferred EPC Contractor for the Execution Phase. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the project team in resolving complex commercial and technical issues. Ensure the project activities are adequately resourced taking into consideration all variables including project requirements, complexity, and budget constraints. Liaise with key client representatives and maintain collaborative working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Deliver the project on time and within budget. What you'll bring Experience managing large scale public infrastructure projects (more than $1.5B). Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or another relevant field. Extensive experience overseeing large contractors in the public infrastructure space, preferably in Australia, however, oversees experience will also be considered. Proven capability in conflict resolution. Experience with Hydro Power and / or tunnelling projects will be beneficial (although not essential).
