The Role The Project Director will oversee all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the client, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to sufficient quality standards.
This role will oversee various stakeholders involved in the construction process, including contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
You will be accountable for full end-to-end project delivery operating via a strategic lens driving commercial outcomes.
Previous experience reporting to boards will be essential in this role.
Strong project planning experience with developing comprehensive project schedules, timelines, budgets, and the ability to allocate adequate resources is essential.
A sound knowledge of identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on projects, as well as maintaining comprehensive risk registers including contingency plans, is required.
Due to the nature of this role, our ideal candidate will be someone with significant experience delivering large scale renewable energy projects or transmission electrical systems projects with values in excess of $200 million on the client side.
About You Qualification in either Project Management, Engineering or equivalent industry experience15+ years experience in the project management and/or construction of power generating facilities and/or transmission/electrical systemsStrong contract management ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsProven quality assurance background establishing and upholding quality and safety standards for construction work, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulationsStrong skills in Microsoft Office suite applications and utilizing project management software packages/toolsCollaborative and engaging working style with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including delegation, consultation, and facilitating teamworkOur Culture We believe that some values are inherent in our company and amongst colleagues.
