About the Role
The Project Director is the most senior resource for Acciona Energia fully dedicated to the delivery of BESS projects. The initial focus will be on the Aldoga Battery Storage Energy System (off the back of Acciona's 380MW Solar Farm) where you will be accountable for all aspects of the delivery, from construction up to the handover to operations. Responsibilities include HSE, quality, commercial, stakeholder, cost, schedule and team management. You will have high level delivery experience on multi-million dollar projects, with any BESS experience an advantage. An electrical background is seen as favourable.
Responsibilities
Successfully plan and deliver multi-million dollar BESS projects.
Direct management of roughly 15 people to deliver the projects.
Provide knowledge around the complexities of delivering BESS projects and mitigate future issues.
Oversee the allocation and coordination of technical resources within the project and technical support from the business.
High level stakeholder engagement.
Commercial management.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification (electrical engineering knowledge highly valuable).
Strong experience in the delivery of multi-million dollar projects.
Demonstrated capacity to build and lead project teams.
Renewable experience (particularly BESS) favourable.
High level stakeholder engagement qualities.
