THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated individual as Project Coordinator to join our busy team.
Job registration and operating of job files using the correct company systems.Co-ordinate the day to day operations of shipments.Provide high level of Customer Service by effectively communicating with clients to ensure they are kept up to date as required.Develop quotations aligned to company SOPs as required, including air/sea, out of gauge, domestic road/air.Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of final charges to our customers.Assist with the ongoing account management of existing clients and improving customer satisfaction.Attend department meetings.Ensure all DB Schenker's WHS, policies and procedures are adhered to.Occasional deliveries to clients using the company vehicle.Vessel attendance / Quarantine Inspections off site.Other duties as directed.
Working in an organization with a global footprint like DB Schenker, you may from time to time be expected to connect with colleagues & peers by participating in meetings, town halls and working groups that are outside of traditional working hours. With our flexibility policy, you will be able to work with your manager & team on how to incorporate such attendance into your working week.
This role may require the incumbent to periodically work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends. Where this is required, notice and/or on-call allowance may be provided.
This role may require intrastate, interstate or international travel.
Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in Freight Forwarding (including air, sea and domestic freight operations) or Supply Chain required.Experience working with customs and quarantine.Previous exposure to project clients and their particular requirements highly advantageous.Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Confidence and ability working with and learning new systems.Demonstrated ability & confidence to negotiate with clients and sub-contractors to achieve the best commercial outcomes.Demonstrates a willingness to work flexible hours (outside of standard working hours) if required by the clients.Benefits:Being part of DB Schenker means you and your family can take advantage of special discounts on a wide range of Computer & Electronic products and services with Apple, Dell, Samsung & LG.Novated Leasing is an Employee Benefit designed for Employees of Schenker Australia to buy and own a motor vehicle under a leasing agreement with FleetPartners, our preferred Novated Leasing provider.
