Project Controls Manager - SSN AUKUS Build ProgramASC is Australia's submarine company. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityThis role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The Project Controls Manager oversees the implementation, administration, and compliance of ASC's Corporate Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tool. This role includes managing both internal and external EVM reporting for the Upkeep work areas under the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Program. Additionally, this role is responsible for training team members to effectively use the corporate EVMS tool for reporting, analysis, and baseline maintenance.ResponsibilitiesManage, deploy, support and mentor the Project Controls staff for work areas within the SSN AUKUS Build Program.Ensure compliance to the EVMP and other relevant governance processes in their responsible work areas of the CCSM Program.Ensure all external & internal reporting is correct, consistent and time efficient.Engage with Project Managers & Control Account Managers (CAMs) to confirm they are adhering to the processes and receiving adequate support from the Project Controls team and PMO.Implement additional reporting as required, and employee continuous improvement of Project Controls processes with the Program Services Department.About youQualifications within Project Management (such as AIPM/APM), Business, Engineering and/or equivalent experience in a Project Management organisation.10+ years' experience within Project Controls, Earned Value Management, Cost Engineering, Cost Control, Cost Estimating, Planning & Scheduling or Project Management.Demonstrated ability to facilitate the effective implementation and execution of standard (good) practice of Earned Value Management including Baseline Maintenance (Baseline Change Requests), Earned Value Analysis and Schedule Management.Demonstrated experience with training and mentoring staff to consistently and effectively apply the discipline of Earned Value Management using an EVM tool.Demonstrated competency in interpretation of commercial terminology and facilitation of the delivery of periodic deliverables in accordance with contractual reporting requirements.Advanced skills and understanding of COBRA, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BI.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
