Westurban Construction is a fast-growing construction company specialising in Multi-Unit Development, Medium Density, and High-end Residential Build.Position DescriptionAs Project Architect, you will be involved in working on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects including multi-unit development, apartments, offices, retail, and commercial buildings.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will have a broad understanding of various project types and be well experienced in coordinating projects from concept, documentation, and delivery submission.
This role will see you exercise your management skills, overseeing different projects at different stages.Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand clients' requirements, preferences, and goals for new structures or modifications.Determine key aspects of the project, including building type, size, style, and any specific requirements for functionality or aesthetics.Create preliminary sketches and concepts based on the client's vision, regulatory requirements, and functional use.Provide clients with design proposals, material suggestions, and timeline estimates for project completion.Develop scaled drawings, technical plans, and detailed schematics that integrate structural, mechanical, and visual elements.Draft specifications and documentation for use in project bidding, construction, and compliance.Prepare project documentation, including specifications, tender documents, and contract terms, often acting as the client's representative when soliciting tenders from builders.Ensure that contract documents are accurate and meet the client's expectations and regulatory standards.Work closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, and other professionals to coordinate design elements, materials, and construction logistics.Consult with landscape architects and environmental specialists to address site layout, ecological impact, and outdoor area design.Gather and analyze data about the project site, considering geographical, ecological, and visual elements, as well as soil, water, and existing infrastructure.Prepare environmental impact assessments and site plans that guide development in a sustainable and community-conscious manner.Formulate recommendations for land use and site development, including landscaping, access points, and infrastructure, while preserving ecological features.Design proposals include considerations for structures, vegetation, soil grading, and community access.Oversee construction processes by conducting site inspections, ensuring that work aligns with design plans, specifications, and quality standards.Address any discrepancies between plans and construction, making adjustments to maintain the project's integrity.Prepare reports, working drawings, and cost estimates to inform clients of project status, budgets, and any changes in scope.Provide clients with updated cost forecasts and potential impacts on timelines due to modifications or unforeseen challenges.Requirements:Bachelor or high qualification2 years' experienceOn-the-job training may be requiredRegistration/licensing is requiredTo apply for this position, please click 'Apply for this job'.#J-18808-Ljbffr
