"Lead Our Journey towards a Project Governance, Innovation and Business Transformation"
As the Project and Innovation Office (PIO) Lead, you will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and work closely with the CEO, executives and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, associated risks, and outcomes to ensure alignment with the organisation's vision and mission.

You will spearhead initiatives that enhance our efficiency, sustainability, and performance, ensuring alignment with our core mission of care and compassion. You'll identify and implement strategies that foster continuous improvement, collaborate with leaders across the organisation, and ensure that projects not only meet goals but also drive meaningful outcomes for those we serve.
Forward the mission and model the values of Churches of Christ in day-to-day work, including in all interactions with members, ministers, staff, and other stakeholders.
Direct Reports: As the Project and Innovation Office (PIO) Lead, you will have three direct reports: Project Manager, Project Support Officer, and Project Finance Officer.
Guide them through key initiatives that enhance efficiency and foster organisational growth. You'll provide leadership, support, and strategic direction to ensure project success while cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire: Oversee the Project and Innovation Office, ensuring that key transformation projects deliver measurable, positive change. Strategic Oversight: Manage project visibility, accountability, and outcomes through real-time dashboards tracking performance, risks, budgets, and benefits. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Standardise project management methodologies and foster collaboration across teams to streamline transformation. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with executives, including the CEO and CIO, to ensure alignment of project goals with organisational vision. Best Practices and Support: Provide tools and accelerators to enable project success, and offer timely interventions for ongoing initiatives. Reporting and Presentations: Present progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership and project steering committees. Organisational Accountabilities: Leadership: Lead your team with a focus on achieving organisational strategies, nurturing a culture of care that reflects the mission of Churches of Christ. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with volunteers, paid staff, and community members, ensuring seamless service delivery. Financial Responsibility: Ensure project financial targets are realised, and resources are allocated effectively to deliver business requirements. Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience: Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related. Change Management qualification/certification (including change and communication management frameworks). Project management qualifications (PMP/PRINCE2/AgilePM). Seven years' experience in roles focussed on business transformation, change management and process improvement. Five years' leadership experience & project/program management experience including risk identification and management. PMO Experience: direct experience working in or managing a PMO. Demonstrated proven track record in planning, leading and delivery of large complex programs with budgets in excess of $2 Million. Experience with business process reengineering, process mapping and workflow analysis. High level stakeholder management experience. Presenting information succinctly to Executive and Board members. Current driver's licence. Possess a current National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire. Desirable:
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Agile Certifications: Such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Agilist for those working in Agile environments. Experience working in the Aged Care or not-for-profit sector. Experience working with ISO standards 9001, 27001 and 31000. Demonstrated ability to manage complex business transformation projects, particularly technical integrations. Possess Working with Children (Blue Card) – or the ability to acquire. Possess Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) – or the ability to acquire. Technical: Proficiency in Project Management Software: Knowledge of tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, Trello, or other relevant software. Understanding of Methodologies: Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Lean, or other project management methodologies. Advanced computer skills with the ability to use standard Microsoft solutions including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
