Description:
Council's Leisure and Cultural Branch is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Programs Officer – Mildura South Regional Sporting Precinct - R2016.
This position will require the successful applicant to work 35 hours within a four-week work cycle.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
Assisting the Precinct Manager to develop, promote and coordinate programs, predominantly of a sporting or recreation nature, for the community to activate facilities within the Precinct during off-peak periods.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Diploma or Certificate in an administration and sports and recreation field
- Experience implementing recreation, sport and/or community programs
- Ability to develop and promote programs within the community to attract participation
- Excellent communication skills, including confidence in public speaking
- Experience delivering high quality customer service
- Experience working in a general administration environment with high level time management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Sound computer literacy with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working with Children Check
- Level 2 First Aid Qualifications
- Current Victorian driver's licence
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $35.2713 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
