The Mijung Jarjums Kids in Mind program supports children and young people aged up to 18 years and their families, who are showing signs of, or are at risk of, developing mental illness.
The program provides accessible, flexible, high-quality, integrated, and responsive care, through the provision of individual and/or family therapeutic interventions and case management. The program scope allows creative, innovative and expressive forms of therapeutic intervention with the child or young person goals at the forefront.
The program aims to: support children and young people to have improved mental health and well-being,better manage any negative impacts of mental health/well-being matters on their lives, and reach their full potential,support families and carers to better understand their children and young people,increase mental health awareness, literacy, and capacity in the community.Job DescriptionThe Program Worker will have experience working in diverse settings with children and young people and their families to improve mental health outcomes. This includes assessment of needs, provision of appropriate targeted therapeutic interventions, safety planning and risk assessment, goal planning and ongoing case management with support to access community and health services where required.
This role is full time and fixed term until 30 June 2025.

The successful candidate will have: Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar.Experience providing high-quality customer-centred individual and/or family therapeutic interventions and/or case management.Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.Demonstrated well-developed organisational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.Demonstrated experience in maintaining professional boundaries while engaging in person-centred work.We are proud to announce that we have received recognition as an accredited Great Workplace by WRK+.
