Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week, 2 days from an RACP office location per week, 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team. Job Description The primary purpose of this position is to own the strategic direction, development, and success of a program, ensuring it meets CPD Participant and member needs, aligns with business objectives, and delivers measurable value over time. They act as the bridge between stakeholders, users, and development teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure the program's long-term success.
The Program Manager (CPD) has a complex role in ensuring member value is achieved, and educational outcomes, and accreditation are maintained over time to sustainably grow the CPD offering. This involves bringing together organisational requirements and strategy, external partner perspectives, member perspectives, technology, and high-quality educational design and content creation. The role has a team of direct reports.
This role is responsible for meeting the needs of a complex and diverse group of over 20,000 members and CPD participants; and managing the stakeholder relationships that underpin this.
Leads CPD program strategy, development, delivery and support, and communicates this clearly across the Portfolio and division. Develops and maintains external educational and business partnerships to grow the CPD program and create member value. Manages program stakeholders, including building and nurturing important relationships for existing operations and future growth, internally and externally. Leads product development and delivery for the program, in close collaboration with Program Innovation. Ensures the delivery and continuous improvement of the CPD program including the operational priorities of incompletes, audit, verified activities and compliance reporting. Ensures regulatory and compliance alignment of the program, and anticipates future needs, seizing opportunities as a CPD home. Responsible for the user experience of the CPD program and member engagement and performance. Subject matter expert for the technology integration and oversight for the program, in collaboration with GIP. Strategically deploys resources and manages financials effectively to improve outcomes and sustainability of the program. Embeds best practices for data analysis and reporting in operations, programs and products. Leads and supports the team in management to adopt new ways of working, processes and systems. Effectively leads and manages the strategic and operational risks related to the program and its delivery. Member support and feedback in relation to programs in collaboration with MES and other relevant channels. Provides support, advice, training and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills in administration and program development, including compliant handling. Collaborates with other programs to ensure consistent member experiences. Develops and delivers the relevant policy and process for the program. Leads the program with savvy commercial and business acumen to improve organisational outcomes. Prepares briefs, reports and recommendations to College Committees and other senior College leaders. Builds and maintains partnerships to improve the program. Utilises events and other modes of engagement to further the program's reach, engagement levels and efficacy. Identifies and shapes new revenue/commercial opportunities. Desired Skills and Experience Required Experience Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. adult education, medical education, e-learning, communication, policy making). Experience working with content that is based on digital platforms. Problem solving skills, ability to make complex judgements, and find creative solutions whilst meeting tight deadlines. Demonstrated experience to develop, monitor and reach predicted outcomes in line with strategic and business plans. Highly developed and effective negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement and management skills. High level oral and written communication, including policy/process documentation and fluent, concise and accurate report writing, to gain consensus and commitment from others. Understanding of relevant technology. Understanding of online learning programs and social learning. Minimum of three years of project or program management experience (preferably in a health, higher education or not-for-profit organisation) within technology-driven environments. Understanding of risk management framework. Excellent organisational and planning skills, including the ability to effectively work with time-poor stakeholders and plan and organise complex schedules and multiple events at one time. Demonstrated success in planning and risk management. A driven approach to delivery. Ability to work independently, undertaking a high level of personal responsibility and initiative as required within the role. Superior technical skills, including use of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project). Open attitude to working with others.
