Program Manager - Biosecurity Emergency Management Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania – Launceston TAS
You'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the capability and capacity of Biosecurity Tasmania to enable effective preparedness, response, and recovery from biosecurity incidents.
Some of your key duties will include:
Plan, develop, and maintain a comprehensive biosecurity emergency management framework.
Represent Biosecurity Tasmania at Commonwealth, State, and Regional government committees.
Provide strategic and operational emergency management advice to Biosecurity Tasmania and other stakeholders.
Design and coordinate training activities and exercises.
Coordinate the development of contingency plans and resource mobilisation strategies.
This is a new 12-month fixed-term position based in Devonport, Hobart, or Launceston.
Our ideal candidate has
Significant experience in emergency/ incident management.
Excellent communication, representation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Proven capacity to lead a specialised program or activity.
