Program Facilitator

Details of the offer

Teaching - Vocational (Education & Training)
IDEAcademy is ahead of the cultural and institutional curve for addressing the needs of society's next generation.
We unshackle our world's most important thinkers so they can get on with making it better.
IDEA is an academy for young innovators, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
We offer a full-time vocational alternative to secondary education for young people from the age of 15 years.
At IDEA we support students to make a seamless transition to life beyond compulsory education with a portfolio of contemporary credentials that showcase each student's niche talents and potential.
IDEA's fully immersive real-world program is delivered out of our co-learning hubs in the Perth CBD.

The vocational credentials embedded within IDEA's program are delivered through our Registered Training Organisation Nua Learn (RTO Code: 46284).
Through IDEA and NUA Learn, we envision a future where education goes beyond traditional institutional delivery settings and inspires young minds to be creators, critical thinkers, and problem solvers.
We believe that by integrating design thinking, project-based learning, and entrepreneurial mindsets into a vocational education, we can unleash the untapped potential of young learners and prepare them to thrive in their careers and lives.

Are you our next Unicorn?

In addition to your vast experience and solid professional capability, you are first and foremost an experience designer, a champion of young people, a community-minded individual, a real team-player.
You are passionate about making a difference through new and innovative models of education that support young people to thrive and find their reason for being in the world.
You also have experience working with young people be it as a social worker, educator, or facilitator.
We're mostly interested in your fit for our community than your training/teaching qualification.
Bonus points if you have/had a side-hustle or a juicy career story.

Care Deeply: You are committed to students and building a collaborative, caring culture.
You work hard to help people reach their highest potential.
You are self-aware, empathetic, reflective, enthusiastic, and optimistic.
Mission to Mastery: You are a life-long learner, committed to continuous improvement and self-development to master your craft.
Adaptable: You challenge the status quo and seize opportunity.
You adapt to the needs of learners as they emerge.
You are a changemaker and a rebel at heart.
You are willing to learn from failure, pivot and try again.
Your Role
IDEA's facilitators are the ultimate guardians of our culture and play a pivotal role in the education and pastoral care of our students.
You will lead experience design and delivery of our vocationally based education program to a cohort of 15-18 year old young people at our CBD campus ensuring IDEA delivers an authentic, high-quality student experience and a contemporary and engaging program that supports successful achievement of our Vision, Mission and strategic objectives.

You will report directly to IDEA's executive and management team and provide your expertise, talents, specialised knowledge and advice whilst positively contributing to the IDEA culture.
You are responsible for each student's experience, the facilitation of the IDEA program, delivery and assessment of nationally recognised training and maintaining your industry and vocational currency.
