This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 Southern River College seeks to create opportunities for all students progressing through their educational journey. Southern River College is seeking to appoint a Program Coordinator - Teaching and Learning. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for an innovative and experienced leader to play a central role in leading the quality of teaching and learning within our vibrant college community.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Vision: You will lead the implementation of a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for teaching and learning, overseeing the Southern River College Quality Teaching and Learning Framework.Instructional Coaching: Work closely with staff to build their capacity in effective teaching practices by analysing pedagogical model data and leveraging current research.Professional Development: Identify the professional development needs of our college and plan and deliver targeted training to support teachers in their ongoing professional growth.Curriculum and Pedagogical Support: Support Leaders and teachers in deepening their teaching practices by developing and implementing innovative teaching, feedback, and assessment strategies.Collegiality and Culture: Build a culture of growth mindset, continuous professional development and an aspirational staff culture.Contemporary Pedagogy Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern pedagogical practices and the ability to apply this knowledge in a college setting.Supporting Staff: Engage and support teachers to trial and implement new pedagogical approaches.Delivery of Professional Learning: Proven experience in planning and delivering effective professional learning programs for educators.Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and students.Professional Benefits Working for the Department of Education, you will enjoy a range of benefits including competitive salaries, flexible working arrangements, training and career development opportunities, and attractive leave provisions.
