Production Systems & Networks Administrator
AFTRS is Australia’s Screen and Broadcast School, established to fuel and empower Australian creativity and storytelling. AFTRS is consistently rated as one of the top film School’s in the world.
We are looking for an experienced Systems & Networks Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our production systems, services and related infrastructure are maintained and meet business needs. You will take a leadership role in driving continuous improvement and adapting to changing business needs.
This is an exciting role working within a highly technical and engaged team, reporting to the Head of Business Applications & Infrastructure.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Experience with large scale production storage systems, ideally with Media Asset Management.
Experience working and support radio systems and integrating third party technologies, ideally AXIA.
Understanding of television operations and ability to support and build new installs.
Strong knowledge of production infrastructure, including audio/video distribution systems
Strong work ethic and ability to work creatively to implement cost effective solutions to complex production issues
Successful completion of a Police Check and Working with Children check
Possess or obtain a current general construction induction training card in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011

Desirable:
Experience developing web applications to automate business processes
Experience managing a casper environment and working with packaging production software
Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvements and ability to execute on said opportunities.
Prior experience working in a production support role with an educational institution.

Salary: $93,146 - $100,468 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits package. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
