Your new company
Located in the West, family owned and operated, my client specialises in bespoke joinery solutions for the residential market, including high-end boutique homes, multi-level apartment projects and volume builds.
They also complete projects across a range of commercial industries, such as health, education and retail.
Operating for 25+ years, they have built a name for themselves in the industry, fostering long-term builder relationships and winning repeat business time and time again.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production/Factory Manager to join the team.
Your new role
Oversee day-to-day operations of the joinery production facility, review current processes, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality standards, and on-time delivery.
Increase business profitability via quality control, develop and implement strategies to ensure a high quality product is manufactured, minimising re-works and overtime.
Manage, lead, train and develop a team, and work closely with HR to develop and document all production processes.
Coordinate production schedules, materials, and resources to meet customer deadlines, ensuring work flow is consistent.
Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvements to processes, productivity, and safety.
Maintain inventory control, ensuring the appropriate levels of raw materials are available for production.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in a factory environment.
What you'll need to succeed
The below skills are required to ensure you are able to maintain the expectations of the role:
Proven experience in a production or factory management role, with strong leadership skills.
Ideally come from a joinery background, with excellent joinery product and production process knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to managing challenges.
Attention to detail, high quality work standards, with the ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production plans.
A background as a qualified cabinet maker is preferred but not essential.
