This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction materials and methods, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Main responsibilities:
Pricing labour, materials and onsite equipment prior to commencement of works Checking Supplier/Subcontractor quotes and issuing purchase orders for onsite works Assisting with client sales estimates and upgrade costings Creating and sustaining ongoing relationships with Subcontractors and Suppliers Assisting in resolving on-site issues relating to purchase orders Ensuring all project costs adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements in residential construction Researching and maintaining updated information on market costs for materials, labour, and subcontractor rates to ensure accurate estimates Assisting in creating and adjusting project timelines and schedules to keep the project on track and avoid costly delays Maintaining thorough documentation of cost estimates, quotes, schedules, and any changes in project scope or budget What you will bring:
Minimum 2 years' experience as an Estimator or in a related role Understanding of construction, techniques, terminology, and costs Strong understanding of workflow stages in residential building, from inception to construction Strong time management skills Ability to prioritise and multi-task High attention to detail Ability to read and interpret construction plans. Proven teamwork skills Strong communication skills, both with internal and external stakeholders High customer and/or stakeholder service levels Problem solving abilities Be adaptive to changing priorities To Apply:
