Production Bakery Supervisor

As our business is growing, we're excited to expand our team with the addition of a passionate and detail-oriented Production Baker.
The Production Baker will play a key role, working alongside our head baker assisting with daily operations in our bakery to ensure smooth, efficient production and uphold Sweet Splits high standards for quality. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with bakery experience, and a commitment to maintaining an enjoyable, productive work environment.
What you'll be doing Working closely with our Head Baker to manage daily tasks including overseeing/coordinating staff, kitchen operations & all aspects of production.Preparation of & mixing ingredientsBakingAdd your own ideas & creativity to develop & test new flavours & product offeringsOperate & monitor equipment (mixer, oven, dough machine, flow pack machine)Assisting with staff rostering/coordinating staffInventory & Ordering - Track inventory levels & order supplies to stock inventory appropriately (ingredients / packaging / tools etc), maintaining cost efficiency.Processing daily orders through ecommerce (Shopify) and wholesale orders through OrdermentumPacking customer ordersBooking couriers/liaising with logistics companiesComply with and enforce safety, cleaning and food hygiene standards, ensuring all baking equipment and workspaces are maintained to a high standard.Utilise skills & experience to review & streamline processes to improve efficienciesIn addition to the responsibilities outlined, the role may involve ad hoc tasks as needed, and responsibilities may evolve over time to meet the changing business needs and goals.
What we're looking for Minimum of 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role in a fast-paced production kitchenUnderstanding of baking techniques, equipment and production processesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to multitask & work efficiently in fast paced environment.Ability to prioritise your work and the work of others to meet deadlinesExperience in meeting daily production requirementsAttention to detail to ensure our high standards are met for every order that is sent outExcellent teamwork & communication skillsPassion for baking, innovating, quality & customer satisfaction!This role offers room for growth within our team for individuals eager to expand their skills and take on more responsibilities in a supportive, creative environment.
Hours: 30-40 hours per week.Flexibility with hours - Days will typically start between 5am and 6am, though earlier starts may be required.
