Virgin Australia is seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of our technical products.
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and external partners to deliver impactful solutions aligned with Virgin Australia's compliance standards, including ISO, NIST, and PCI.
Your leadership will shape secure, compliant products that support the evolving needs of the business and help make IT the most loved technical function in aviation.You'll be part of a new team driving business-wide initiatives, helping development, SRE, and infrastructure teams reach their full potential, while ensuring business stakeholder feedback is integrated and security is efficiently prioritized.You'll be great for this role if you have:Ability to translate complex technical data and compliance standards into actionable tasks that drive product development.Proven experience in building, managing, and executing product roadmaps to align with business goals and compliance requirements.Proven experience in stakeholder management and collaboration, working within complex business and technical environments.Strong understanding of technical product management with an emphasis on compliance standards (ISO, NIST, PCI) and risk management frameworks.Strong communication skills to effectively articulate product and technical challenges to stakeholders at all levels.Familiarity with IT product life cycles and product-centric mindsets.Knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures to ensure efficient product delivery and service management.Desirable but not essential:ITIL certification or equivalent hands-on experience with ITIL processesStrong expertise in security technologies and best practicesStrong knowledge of Public/private cloud solutions (AWS, Openstack, VMware for example)Proven experience working with technical teams in both insourced and outsourced environmentsProficiency in data reporting and analysis tools, such as PowerBIWhat you'll get from usWe're committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (plus $1000 travel credits per year)Flexible and hybrid working, with a mix of working from home and the office'Dress for Your Day' – wear whatever makes you feel great for the type of work you do and the day you have ahead of youOne of Brisbane's most admired office locations, with South Bank train station, a supermarket, pharmacy, lunch options, the Busway nearby, a rooftop restaurant, onsite gym and South Bank across the roadDiscounts on travel insurance, lounge membership, car hire, accommodation, and experiences worldwideCheaper hospitality, retail, technology, beauty and wellness servicesFree counselling and online tools to support your physical, mental, social and financial health.When everyone is included, everyone winsWe're all individuals.
