We are based in Cohuna, situated on the Murray River, in Northern Victoria, just a short drive from Echuca, the region boasts an idyllic natural environment with stunning waterways and tranquil bushland.
Responsibilities:
The primary role of a Product Design Engineer will be to prepare accurate engineering drawings suitable for use in production, your main key duties and responsibilities include:
Designing and modelling of new assemblies and parts as per requirements.
Creating detailed fabrication drawings for production.
Updating and revising of existing assemblies and drawings when required.
Ensuring that drawings are produced following internal Quality Management System.
Liaising with factory personnel and project managers in implementing design for manufacturability suggestions into the customised/new designs when needed.
Attending weekly team meetings and discuss quality issues raised and perform necessary actions.
Maintaining Drawing Register with up-to-date drawings.
About you:
Must have 5+ years' experience in 3D/2D product designing in the manufacturing industry.
Must have strong experience in tools such as Catia, Powermill.
Proficient and familiar with Solid Works and Adobe Photoshop.
Additional experience in designing and modelling new assemblies and parts.
Experience or basic understanding of production and quality standards.
Experience working with teams from different departments.
Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
A self-starter and you are able to work with minimal supervision.
Have great accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Strong background in product design.
Demonstrate experience of design and modelling principals.
Experience in delivering high-quality designs for custom made products.
Good understanding of drafting and design tools such as Catia, Powermill, Solid Works.
Experience working with engineers, project managers, draftsman, quality engineers in the production and manufacturing environment.
