About the role The Group Privacy & Customer Trust Team operates as a central team that sets the strategy for, and drives privacy and responsible data use uplift across Woolworths Group.
This includes the management of privacy risk, PIAs, governance, training and awareness, data ethics, incident management, resource development, compliance and reporting, evaluation and enhancements.
The Privacy Lead (People) is an integral member of the Group Privacy & Customer Trust Team and will be embedded within the People Team (Group human resources team) to deliver privacy and customer trust solutions for the People Team as a Business Unit and, at times, other functions across the Group.
It will therefore have a primary focus on team member (employee/contractor) data.
Critical to this role is the building of stakeholder relationships within the People Team, our Business leadership teams (eg Woolworths Supermarkets, Metro, BIG W), Technology, Cyber, Risk, Legal and across other relevant Woolworths Group business units.
The role will work closely with the People Risk & Process Chapter.
What you'll do: You will lead the setting and delivery of the strategy and direction for privacy and customer trust matters within the People Team aligned to the Privacy & Customer Trust Team Group strategy and approach You will engage with senior stakeholders within the People Team, and across Woolworths Group, across senior forums and be responsible for helping deliver the People strategy with a privacy first lens Building and embedding key components of relevant Privacy frameworks into systems, processes and governance in alignment with Privacy, Cyber, IT, Operations, Technology and Data Governance teams in the People Team Delivering key foundational and strategic priorities that evolve our Privacy & Customer Trust maturity to realise our ambition as a privacy leader and the trust our team members have in us Undertake control gap analyses to continually assess, monitor, report on and uplift control maturity against our material risks (including privacy compliance and responsible data use) Bringing a lens of ethical and appropriate data use, over and above pure privacy compliance, aligned to the Woolworths Values and culture of doing the right thing What you'll bring: We are looking for an experienced privacy professional with an all round skill set and knowledge of Privacy, Data Ethics, Risk and Legal and how these impact on business priorities and objectives.
Highly developed communication and influencing skills are required, with the ability to build relationships internally across various business units as well as with a number of external stakeholders.
5+ years experience in Privacy or a related field Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including Business, Law, Technology, Privacy or related Proficient knowledge of Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, OAIC guidance Experience in PIA methodologies and privacy by design IAPP certification or other related studies in privacy, governance, data ethics What you'll experience A progressive and flexible 'Work from Anywhere' policy that gives you more control over your work, life and wellbeing.
