About the RoleAs a leading resources company, BHP has an important role to play in the transition to a low carbon future.
We have an exciting opportunity for an expert to lead BHP's cokemaking test program as part of BHP's Commercial and Sales & Marketing function.
This position plays a pivotal role in coordinating product support initiatives for our premium steelmaking coal portfolio.
Key accountabilities: Support the coal trading and marketing unit by leading R&D and test work.Coordinating and guiding strategic and tactical coal product research projects.Supporting translation of research and test data into predictive models.Owning R&D relationships and managing vendors/partners.Maintaining close collaboration throughout Sales and Marketing team.Representing BHP's interests in various industry bodies.Monitoring industry developments and technology changes.About YouIndustry-recognised expert in coke and iron-making.Bachelor's degree or higher, and/or at least 7 years' experience in a key technical discipline.Deep understanding and direct experience of industrial and fundamental coke and ferrous R&D.Strong statistical modelling capabilities.Commercially-minded with strategic thinking abilities.Experienced in engaging effectively with stakeholders.Project planning and execution skills.Coaching and mentoring approach.Applications close 4th December.
