What is the organisation like?
A state government department that oversees all other departments when it comes to cyber security, you'll be able to speak to a great many people across the board, many of whom have an eye on the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane and will be planning for it.
You'll be working with a fair-sized team of experts from all over Queensland with various backgrounds, all of whom may have different approaches to dealing with a problem that will increase your own knowledge of the sector.
What are your main tasks?
Providing technical leadership to help drive the changes they want to implement
Implementing and uplifting the current SIEM solution to a new and improved one, you will be able to have some input on what that looks like.
Leasing with stakeholders and making sure everything is kept on track
Role Requirements:
Sufficient knowledge and experience in firewalls, DNS and other security technologies, such as Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint and Splunk.
Security incident management processes, SIEM solutions (e.g Splunk, Sentinel) or SOC function
Stakeholder management experience
