• Established in 1987, Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR) is hosted by West Moreton Health and is Queensland's premier mental health research centre.
With core funding from Queensland Health, a decades-long partnership with The University of Queensland, and researchers embedded within the health system, we are uniquely positioned to connect health service and academic expertise and experiences and to maximise the potential of our research to reduce the impact of mental illness in our communities.
• Temporary Part Time until 30th June 2025 The purpose of this role is to assist the Stream Lead of the Physical and Mental Health Research stream to deliver a state-wide research program at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR).
The role features technical, research, education and management responsibilities.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Leadership skills with an emphasis on research operation and project management, including data management, quality assurance, evaluation, and staff training, relevant to the operational and research functioning of the stream.
Leadership skills and advanced ability to coordinate project initiatives within a complex system of research networks with a range of key stakeholders across government departments.
Specialised mental health research knowledge, expertise and skill, as demonstrated by a track record of research productivity (e.g.
academic publications, reports, competitive grants and Higher Degree Student Supervision).
Ability to provide high level judgement and advice on mixed methods research methodologies in Mental Health Evaluation fields.
Advanced understanding of the required research processes, and experience in the strategic and operational management of a multi-disciplinary research team within a complex health service environment.
High level proficiency in verbal and written communication, negotiation and consultation skills, including experience in writing reports, delivering presentations and tailoring communication to suit a wide range of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the health system, with higher education, and across other sectors as necessary.
