Principal Regulation and Expansion We’re looking to do things a little bit differently here at Aurizon, and as such, this newly created role will see you focusing on strategic growth and improvements for the Network business, including driving commercially beneficial infrastructure reinvestment strategies. This role has been created to maintain commercial oversight of major network expansion related projects, developing and negotiating various agreements with customers. Working with new and established processes within Aurizon Network’s Access Undertaking, the role will focus on managing network expansion study projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead and provide expert advice to network managers on expansion study opportunities, options and related issued to deliver commercial outcomes.
Govern the network expansion study process through required stage gating and investment requirements, working with project managers to deliver outcomes.
Negotiate with a broad range of customers in terms of scope, funding, and delivery of expansions
Develop and implement process, standards and approaches for expansion related activities, driving continuous regulatory improvement
Provide customer and commercial oversight to strategic infrastructure investments and future network developments
Background in a strategic commercial role within an infrastructure business preferable
Exposure to energy policy and strategy
Ability to work on all aspects of a project, from setting commercial objectives, to more administrative tasks (i.e contract management)
Background in a customer facing role preferable, particularly associated with commercial negotiations.
Ability to interpret and understand regulatory policy and process
Exposure to infrastructure or engineering studies and project management.
