This role is responsible for leading and supporting disaster management projects within Queensland Health, ensuring compliance with defined service quality standards and health and safety policies. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. Additionally, it monitors and reviews systems to identify opportunities for improvement, aligning these enhancements with the goals of the Disaster Management Branch (DMB). Key responsibilities include the development and implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health disaster management, as well as the preparation of detailed reports, briefs, and submissions to aid senior leadership in strategic decision-making. The role will also participate in activations within the State Health Emergency Coordination Centre (SHECC) and ensure adherence to Queensland Health's core values, human resource policies, and project management methodologies, contributing to organisational learning and capability development in disaster management.
