A well-established mining consultancy with projects worldwide seeks to add a Principal Mechanical Engineer to their talented and experienced senior leadership team.
Working on a wide range of projects across QLD and Australia, you will oversee significant technical design capabilities in the brownfield and greenfield mining and minerals processing industries.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

Confidently provide technical mechanical, materials handling, and piping expertise from concept through to detailed engineering and commissioning Provide technical support to the Mechanical team Effectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholders Work on multiple projects in a multi-disciplinary drafting and engineering environment Ensuring the Safety in Design principles in all aspects of mechanical engineering outputs Continuous improvement of the mechanical and piping design guides and the production of technical notes for use across the team Provision of succinct updates and reports to relevant stakeholders Timely and proactive resolution / escalation of potential discrepancies Preparing proposals and scopes of work for competitive tender processes Prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables Assisting with construction and commissioning including occasional site-based work if/as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Degree CPEng / RPEQ required 10+ Years Mining/Minerals Processing Experience Significant engineering design experience Great multi-tasking and communication skills
