Reporting to the Manager, Governance Support and Advice; Governance, Assurance and Information Management Branch, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and governance of Queensland Health's health service directives and Department of Health policies, standards, and guidelines. You will contribute to the development of new health service directives and policies and review of current health service directives, policies, and guidelines whilst maintaining strong, positive relationships utilising your highly developed communication skills when liaising with stakeholders in the Department and Hospital and Health Services (HHSs). You will also be required to prepare high quality written and verbal correspondence, reporting, guidance, and advice to key stakeholders.
The successful person The successful applicant will have the ability to research and analyse complex issues and provide high quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders. You will possess strong computer literacy, written and editorial skills. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate confidence in negotiating complex concepts and providing advice to internal and external stakeholders.

The Governance, Assurance and Information Management Branch (GAIM), Corporate Services Division, is responsible for delivering strategic, proactive advice in respect of governance, compliance, and information management functions. Corporate governance functions involve a range of activities that enhance the department's governance i.e., its leadership, direction, control, and accountability. It provides policy frameworks, programs, and advice in relation to corporate governance arrangements, operational planning and performance, customer complaint management, general legislation compliance, and corporate delegations.
