Education (Organisation site) Information and Technologies Branch - People, Information and Communication Services DivisionWe are seeking two highly motivated Senior Database Developers/Analysts to join the Information and Technologies Branch within the Department of Education. The successful candidates will be responsible for database performance monitoring and tuning, reporting, business intelligence, and data warehouse management for multi-tier applications in an enterprise environment. The methods of assessing suitability in the recruitment process may vary, including making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About the Role:At least 5+ years' experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing bespoke applications built using major technologies Microsoft SQL Server Services (Database, Reporting, Integration, and Analysis) including Reporting Services (SSRS) and .NET Framework for complex, multi-tier applications in an enterprise environment.Experience with performance monitoring and tuning, problem resolution, and availability management for complex, multi-tier applications in a large organisation enterprise environment whilst ensuring the continuous provision of service of the database, application, and integration platform environments.Experience with supporting and designing Microsoft SQL databases, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services reports, Microsoft Analysis Services multi-dimensional cubes to analyse and present data for various departmental stakeholders, developing and managing database scripts to convert and fix data within operational database, and managing and performing code reviews against coding standards and departmental requirements to ensure compliance.Experience with business intelligence and data warehouse management techniques.Knowledge of the SDLC framework and process.Experience providing technical leadership, analysis, and advice to projects.About You:Tech enthusiast: Passionate about staying abreast of the latest tech trends.Communication pro: An ability to articulate your ideas clearly and effectively.Team player: A collaborative spirit who enjoys engaging in a social team setting.Leads strategically: Thinks critically and acts on the broader purpose of the system.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.Interested?
