Pricing Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pricing analyst within a major AIM listed building products group. The business unit comprises a national network of c80+ distribution depots and has revenues in the order of £70m.
Key Accountabilities: Identifying anomalies causing loss of profit and repricing in line with company margin guidelinesAnalyse and monitor competitor pricing activity and suggest new pricing to increase sales and marginAnalyse and review high and low converting lines and suggest price changesMonitor price changes made, collate, record and present the dataFeedback uncompetitive pricing to the Commercial department – including competitor promotional activityBuild relationships with key stakeholders & branches in order to support regional strategies (Travel required)Assign correct pricing profiles – comparing customer pricing by size, opportunity, margin & supportConduct investigations as directed into identified areas of concern related to profit and margin – low margin productsSetup and manage promotional pricing and multibuy offers – cross selling & upselling activityProcess supplier price increases/decreases, implementing price changes to maintain profit and marginEnsure all reports are in line with Commercial requirementsLiaise with group companies to monitor price support activities & adherenceKey interfaces: Commercial ManagerRegional ManagerBranch ManagersDivisional Commercial ManagerDesirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required: A background in analytics within a busy environmentExperience in Purchase/Pricing is a positiveGood with numbers & commercially astuteExcellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skillsPersonal Attributes: Detail orientated – able to deal with large amounts of data without getting 'lost in the detail', whilst ensuring the high-level objective / task is deliveredEffective communication – clear and concise written, spoken, ability to communicate at all levelsHigh Standards – demonstrating a motivation to improve insight and thereby making a real differenceIntegrity and trust – demonstrating a sense of commitment to openness, honesty, loyalty and high standards in undertaking the roleTime management - have ability to prioritise tasks and projects
