About the role We are seeking an experienced Precast Factory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our new precast concrete manufacturing facility in Ormeau, Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will play a key part in the success of our growing business.
Responsibilities Overall profit and loss of factory, cost tracking and reporting. Manage and oversee all production activities, ensuring efficient and quality-focused manufacturing processes. Lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled production workers. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. Monitor and report on key performance metrics to drive operational excellence. Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to deliver innovative precast solutions. Manage inventory, procurement and maintenance of equipment and resources. Qualifications, skills & experience Substantial experience as a Precast Factory Manager or in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing or construction industry. Strong technical knowledge of precast concrete production, including casting, curing and finishing processes. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills. Proficient with computers. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. A trade or diploma qualification in a related technical discipline (Engineering/ Construction Management). Forklift, crane and other relevant plant operation certifications desirable. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
