The role
We are looking for a talented and driven PR Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Melbourne.
With 3-5 years’ previous communications agency experience a must, our Account Manager will be a talented and dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Account Director and General Manager, the successful candidate will:
Create and implement creative communications strategies spanning media, content, social media, event ideation, partnerships and collaborations
Secure tier one media coverage for our clients
Create engaging thought leadership content for use across owned and earned channels
Leverage their extensive contacts within design, property, arts and culture to create opportunities for clients
Make verbal and written pitches, manage and maintain positive relationships with clients, and manage social media accounts (paid and organic).
This fantastic opportunity is perfect for an individual with a passion and drive for implementing integrated communications campaigns with a particular focus on public relations initiatives, achieving results and working across highly strategic and creative projects.

The core responsibilities of this role include:
Proactively manage multiple client accounts by building strong relationships with stakeholders and understanding relevant business and industry trends.
Establishing and maintaining effective, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure satisfaction of services, follow-on work, future referrals, and a positive working environment.
Plan and execute integrated communications campaigns across media, social media and content marketing so they are delivered on time, within budget and in-line with client objectives.
Identify and create editorial opportunities for clients including research, writing media releases, media pitches and managing media interviews and briefings.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts.
Deliver high quality copy across all clients of Communications Collective.
Manage social media activity (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest).
Develop new business proposals and be involved in pitching and presenting to new clients.
Assist with maintaining in-house marketing and communications activities including Communications Collective website and social media channels as required.
Various ad hoc and administrative duties as directed.
Reporting and achieving client KPI’s
The successful candidate:
You will have a university qualification in either PR, Journalism or similar field.
You have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role – please DO NOT apply if you do not have communications agency experience.
You will be a media gun that understands the media landscape and news cycle, with experience pitching to media and loves nothing more than achieving strong coverage for your clients.
A self-starter who is always thinking about ways to improve client campaigns.
You will be driven, self-motivated and accountable about delivering high quality work
You have the ability to come up with creative ideas that inspire those around you.
You will have an interest in property, architecture and the arts within Melbourne and Sydney, and a willingness to learn about and be engaged with key issues and trends.
A confident communicator, both written and verbal, who can hold their own in meetings with media and clients.
A problem solver who thrives on identifying creative opportunities for clients.
Able to work quickly, accurately and creatively within tight, multiple deadlines.
Highly organised, can juggle multiple projects and tasks at once while prioritising the important ones.
You will have a Permanent Australian working visa.
