Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation that provides essential and community services to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
We have been successfully delivering Power, Water and Wastewater services for the last two decades to Aboriginal communities across the regions.
The Essential Services team maintains infrastructure to an exceptional standard, which minimises breakdowns and provides a quality and continuous service to Aboriginal communities.
We also conduct most asset replacement and capital works projects.
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

As a Power Electrical Engineer with the Essential Services department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of power systems across the communities that we service in accordance with Australian standards and licensing requirements.
This is a fixed-term position until June 2026 with the possibility of permanency.
The FIFO roster is 15 days on, 13 days off, and we can fly you into Port Hedland from any major capital city in Australia.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical advice to the power generation team and assist the water electrical team when required.
Provide technical support for power system installations and upgrades.
Travel to communities to ensure power systems are compliant.
Inspect all new installations and any modifications for compliance.
Remote power monitoring of remote power stations.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Keep abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in all power-related activities.
About You Strong commitment to delivering a high level standard of work and service to our communities.
Electrical Engineering degree.
WA Electrical licence.
Extensive electrical work experience.
Experience in developing quotes and tenders.
Scheduling experience.
Provide First Aid, Provide CPR, Perform Rescue from a live LV Panel, White Card.
Demonstrated experience of scheduling of maintenance/service works.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Electrical contractor nominee course (desirable).
