Policy/Programs OfficerFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details: Do you want to contribute to meaningful work that aims at improving outcomes for people engaging with the criminal justice system?In this role you will support the development and implementation of evidence-based policy and programs relating to the justice system.In this role, working closely with the Director and Senior Director and other members of the branch, you will undertake a range of activities that may include:managing procurement and programs to deliver crime prevention and community cohesion outcomessupporting cross government governance and oversight processes, including managing working groups and high-level steering committeesstrategy and policy development in areas such as disability justice, reducing reoffending and crime preventionengaging with a range of justice system stakeholders on policy development and operational impactsThis position would suit candidates with diverse experience and expertise including criminology and sociology, social policy development, legal qualifications or program development and management.
