Supported by a mature global team running multiple nuclear and non-nuclear defence projects, the successful candidate will benefit from guidance and experience of technical leads from other parts of the global business.The Platform Systems Engineer will also be responsible for connecting with global technical teams to deliver local engineering solutions across all elements of a defence platform's lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with diverse customers and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutionsProvide Engineering support for design, construction and maintenance of defence platforms in line with stakeholder requirements and timeframesContribute to the development of complex project proposals and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projectsProduce safety and technical risk assessmentsForecast, monitor and report upon engineering performance and to identify and mitigate technical and project risks.Develop global relationships with AtkinsRéalis technical teams to deliver global experience locallyDesired Skills, Experience and CapabilitiesTertiary engineering qualificationChartered Professional EngineerHold or eligible to obtain Australian Government security clearanceA good understanding of the Australian government defence ecosystemExperience in design, construction, and support of defence platform systemsAn excellent communicator, verbal (active listener) and written (able to write concisely)ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONAs we grow our Defence practice, AtkinsRéalis encourages veterans and ex-Defence personnel to apply, as you bring unique and invaluable skills and experience to our team.We're not all the same and that's our greatest strength and we believe that 'Different Makes a Difference.'
