Spanning multiple Gold mineralisation styles, this dynamic operation currently includes the Daisy Milano Underground Mine, the Santa, French Kiss and Flora Dora Open Pit mining operations.THE ROLE:We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Open Pit Geology Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support the geological team in the development and production of our open pit mining operations. This role involves hands-on work in the field and collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient and safe mining practices. This position reports to the Senior Mine Geologist and will be based at the Open Pit Operations.The position will be offered as a FIFO 8:6, 7:7 roster with day and night shifts from Perth, WA.Key responsibilities include:Conduct daily supervision to monitor the mine's ore extraction and to collect data in a safe and efficient manner.Allocate appropriate ore classification to high-grade and low-grade material.Assist with mark out of ore and waste blocks.Assist in Blast Movement Monitoring (BMM) installation and pick-ups.Analyse and record geological data using specialised software and tools.Monitor and report on ore quality and grade control.Support safety and environmental compliance initiatives.Collaborate with mine geologists, engineers, and other team members to optimise pit design and operations.Maintain accurate and detailed records of geological activities.ABOUT YOU:You have the following qualifications and experience:Proven experience in open pit mining and geological.Strong understanding of geological mapping and sampling techniques.Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
