About you: You are a qualified Physiotherapist with demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise, and skill in Physiotherapy clinical service provision relevant to the services provided by the respective facility to which you are applying, and you can apply established and evidence-based principles to routine Physiotherapy clinical services across the continuum of care under the clinical practice supervision of more experienced physiotherapists.
You have effective communication skills and an ability to work cooperatively and effectively within the multi-professional team to deliver quality clinical services.
Your opportunity: The purpose of the training role is to deliver entry-level New Graduate Physiotherapy clinical services across a variety of clinical rotations within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
The role is a fixed term contract.
Your role: Deliver entry-level Physiotherapy clinical services as rostered within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including the provision of after hour services, shift work and weekend services if required by the service.
As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision of a more senior Physiotherapist.
Participate in professional development activities, service monitoring, quality, and service improvement activities to continually improve Physiotherapy clinical services and patient outcomes.
Manage an appropriate caseload using high level time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide direction, supervision, and support to Allied Health Assistants.
