Overview of the roleWould you like to make a difference to our patients by becoming a Phlebotomist at Ipswich Hospital? We are seeking phlebotomists to play a key, patient-focused role in our hospital, collecting blood samples via venepuncture. This role is both clinic and ward based.
You will need good communication skills to engage with patients with varying needs and good IT skills to navigate our patient databases and record samples.
No prior phlebotomy experience is required as full training will be provided.
Please note this is a clinical role, not laboratory-based.
We have various posts available with hours ranging from 13.5 to 37.5 per week. You will work various shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas, on a rota basis, covering short-notice absences.
We seek individuals who understand the evolving nature of phlebotomy services and will represent the service positively.
