We particularly focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.About the roleWe seek a dedicated and experienced Permanent Coordinator to lead a team of case workers and collaborate with family members, foster carers, government departments, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children being restored to their parents or returned to their kinship network.
This role reports to the Manager of PSP Foster and Kinship Care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultation on Permanency Planning for children and young people within the PSP ProgramUndertake parenting capacity and risk assessments and make recommendationsAssist with finding a suitable family that can provide connection and relationship for children and young peopleConvene and chair Family Led Decision Making meetings, Care Team meetings, and other family meetings for care planningProvide intensive, in-home support for families and children undergoing the process of restorationAbout youBachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related disciplineExperience in leading a Case Management teamDemonstrated experience in complex family or carer assessmentsTheoretical understanding and practice skills related to the needs of vulnerable children and familiesExcellent verbal communication and written skills and ability to prepare high-quality reportsWell-developed computer literacy skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databasesExperience in delivering Therapeutic Parenting Programs is desirablePlease contact Dianne Lewis at 0439 592 *** (during business hours) for all enquiries.Applicants may be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument and must obtain a Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW) and have a satisfactory National Criminal History Check undertaken by us.#J-18808-Ljbffr
