About the role and where you will be working: This is a contract role until January 2026.
The People Services Lead forms part of the People Services team.
Reporting to the General Manager People, this is a leadership role with its primary focus being the provision of high quality and effective, people-focused support to our people through recruitment, employee relations, policies, and employee life cycle services.
This position is located in our central office in Rivervale with the option to work from home 1 - 3 days per week.
We'll also be asking you to: Support the GM People through the delivery of consistent, efficient, and a high-quality HR Services function. Support the development and delivery of our workforce strategy that will attract and retain our current and future talent. Responsible for maintenance of data integrity, policy and process frameworks across Recruitment and HR. Devise, initiate and deliver transformative and innovative People Services function that aligns with our values and sets SCCWA apart as a great place to work. Identify opportunities to maintain and develop the People Services function. Manage complex cases and coach the senior leadership team as necessary, ensuring expert support is put in place that drives high standards of leadership, talent development and employee engagement. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the employee lifecycle and the key levers that increase engagement and value to employees. Maintain a deep understanding of the organisation's workforce profile, key priorities, business strategies and workforce trends to effectively support the provision of relevant advice and support services. Promote and support the utilisation of people systems and automated processes to create efficiency, enhance employee experience and to inform advice provided to the business. About you: The ideal candidate will have similar experience in leading a team.
To be considered for this role, you'll need: Experience in leading a people function or contribution to overall People function. Thorough knowledge and understanding of current employee relations legislation and trending issues. Working knowledge and experience within a similar role with good knowledge of resourcing, talent management and employee life cycle approaches. Evidence of designing, developing and delivering a high-quality professional service that meet our needs through exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills both internally and externally. Strategic understanding of our people, our business operations, challenges, and drivers. Sound analytical, problem-solving, influencing and dispute resolution skills. Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrates ability to work confidentially, with tact and discretion.
