People and Culture Specialist Preferably located in Armidale but other locations across our NSW network will be considered. Full-time or Part-time, continuing position with flexible working arrangements. Applicants must hold permanent work rights for Australia. The People and Culture team at Regional Australia Bank (RAB) are looking for a strong communicator with great administration skills and previous experience in supporting human resource functions.
About the Role The People and Culture Specialist supports our human resource functions in fostering a positive workplace culture and provision of services to our people across their employee journey. These include recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, performance management, wellbeing, and operational HR. The role works as part of a team led by the Lead People and Culture Specialist and participates in projects aimed at enhancing our organisational culture and driving continuous improvement in HR practices.
About You You have a positive and can-do mindset where no task is too big or small, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for supporting the professional growth and wellbeing of your colleagues across the business. You are discreet, well-organised, able to adapt to changing priorities, and ready to jump into action with a team-first attitude. You also have previous experience within an HR or People and Culture team.
Your typical day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Provide accurate and timely guidance and advice on People and Culture policies, procedures, and systems. Provide support with records management, payroll, probation management, and employment variations. Manage recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer management. Address employee concerns, minimizing escalation.
