Lead our Payroll Team through an exciting period of change Enjoy a competitive salary and fantastic NFP salary packaging benefits Join a values-based organisation and work in a rewarding environment About the role The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the timely payment of approximately 3,200 VMCH employees on a fortnightly basis, leading a team of five Payroll Officers in relation to day-to-day operations and providing specialist payroll advice to VMCH employees.
Responsibilities: Assisting Payroll Officers with any enquiries or issues that need to be escalated Maintaining the payroll system Updating employee records Calculating and processing terminations, variations, salary increases and back pays Preparing superannuation and work cover deductions Processing salary packaging through our external provider About you You have extensive end-to-end payroll experience within a large, complex, multi-site organisation and the ability to lead a high-performing team.
In addition, you possess the following: Understanding of payroll legislation and processes Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and relevant legislation Experience with payroll and time and attendance systems – we use Preceda and Emplive Outstanding attention to detail The ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Why VMCH?
