About the Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for managing all payroll functions ensuring the timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll, reporting, compliance, and administration.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our growing business and become an integral part of the Finance Team, as well as an integral partner to the People & Culture Department.
About You: Maintain payroll and staff records, including processing new starters, terminations, and all payroll adjustments;Prepare and process fortnightly pay runs (600 staff) with accuracy and meet deadlines working with multiple entities in various states across Australia;Maintain and utilise Payroll system to its full capability including Time and Attendance system;Interpreting and ensuring the correct application of multiple Awards and Employment Contracts, Commission structures, and relevant industry regulations;Ensure the business is compliant with CPI, FWC, and Award Rate increases;Prepare and provide regular reports, monthly reconciliations, and journals;Calculate and lodge payroll liabilities including group tax, superannuation, payroll tax, and WorkCover;Manage all payroll queries and provide sound and timely advice on policy and process supporting management, staff, and all stakeholders;Preparing reports and analysis on an ad-hoc basis as requested;The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the payroll function in its entirety ensuring best practice across the Group.
You will have experience in interpreting multiple Awards, industry regulation, and will have demonstrable experience with end-to-end payroll processing. Experience in payroll systems, including the implementation of a new system, will be advantageous as we transition to a fully integrated HRIS including Payroll and WHS.
Whilst part of a broader team, you will work with a degree of autonomy, have strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, and be able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced and dynamic environment.
