Experience with payroll systems such as Ascender are highly advantageous.Payroll Officer Opportunities (Levels 2, 3, & 4) - Temporary Casual ContractsRate: $35-55 per hour plus Super (depending on relevant experience and level of position)Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per weekDuration: Initial 3 month contract with possible 2-3 month extensionLocation: Perth CBDType: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements - casual loading included in rate)Flexible hybrid working arrangements: Candidates can work from home up to 50% of their hoursKey Responsibilities (All Levels)Process payroll transactions efficiently and accurately within specified timeframes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Provide advice and support to internal clients on payroll-related matters, including interpreting relevant policies, awards, and legislation.Maintain the integrity of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) by updating and managing accurate payroll records.Respond to payroll queries in a customer-focused manner, delivering consistent and clear advice.Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll services by identifying areas for process enhancement and participating in relevant training.Additional Responsibilities by Level:Level 4: Assist in coordinating payroll team operations, providing guidance and support to staff. Conduct research and analysis to resolve complex payroll issues and contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Engage with stakeholders to ensure system compliance and improvements in payroll practices.Level 2: Provide accurate data entry and transaction processing for payroll, ensuring records are maintained in compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
