This part-time (38 hours per fortnight) ongoing position sits in the Finance team, and is responsible for performing all activities necessary to process MASP's payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.
Job Description The Payroll Officer manages the fortnightly end-to-end payroll processes for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages, other related payments including all statutory payments and reporting within set timeframes.
This role involves various tasks related to payroll administration, compliance and employee record management.
Expected commencing salary of $34,001.66 per annum ($34.4162 per hour) plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.
Desired Skills and Experience Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
Proven experience managing payroll for a medium-sized organisation within a similar environment, with basic knowledge and understanding of HR principles. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to handle fortnightly payroll cycles under tight deadlines. Demonstrated experience in interpreting enterprise agreements and awards, with knowledge and understanding of compliance regarding legislation, payroll practices and policies, and privacy. High-level communication written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail and meticulous work presentation. Possess initiative and be a self-starter able to work with limited supervision, or as an effective part of a team. Possess high-level computer literacy with sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite and ability to learn new systems. Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
