They have a global client base, partnering with the intelligence community, military, law enforcement, and airports worldwide.
They are looking to hire a Payroll Manager to their rapidly growing finance team.
About the role: Within this role, you will directly manage end to end payroll processes, which will include collaborating closely with the outsourced payroll vendor to process payroll for approximately 250 employees across the US and Australia, including monthly payroll runs, commissions, and bonuses.
Key Responsibilities: Process terminations in compliance with statutory laws and company policies; Prepare and lodge accurate monthly payroll tax returns for relevant states and ensure compliance with Superannuation requirements; Reconcile annual PAYG reports with the ATO's STP and prepare payroll end-of-month reconciliations and reports; Prepare wage estimates and declarations for Workers Compensation Insurance; Maintain and update employee personal and payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity; Generate monthly reports on outstanding annual leave balances; Liaise with employees and management to address and resolve payroll-related issues and general inquiries; Document and enhance payroll processes and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy; Oversee the timesheet system, ensuring weekly timesheets are submitted by deadlines, and generate timesheet reports for various business units; Review and approve Independent Contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance; AND Collaborate with external travel agents to review and approve employee travel arrangements.
Technical Skills & Qualifications required include: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., HR, Business, Finance); A minimum of 5 years' experience managing end-to-end payroll processes; Strong knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including interpreting awards; Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing tasks; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project; Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a geographically distributed team; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to assist with a variety of tasks, including occasional duties outside the core role.
