Payroll Compliance Officer 6-Month Contract | Camperdown | $62.40/hour + Super Talent International is seeking a Payroll Compliance Officer to join a NSW Government client in Camperdown.
This role is a 6-month contract, with potential for extension, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $62.40 + Super .
Primary Function The Payroll Compliance Officer provides expert advice and guidance on compliance matters, ensuring alignment with university policies and regulatory mandates.
The role involves conducting assessments, promoting adherence to standards, and leading the development of educational resources to foster a culture of compliance.
Responsibilities Offer expert guidance on compliance matters to ensure clarity on policies and regulations.
Interpret and communicate policies effectively to align operations with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Conduct compliance assessments, generate detailed reports, and collaborate with stakeholders on outcomes.
Proactively monitor adherence to university standards, introducing tools and processes for consistency.
Develop and distribute educational materials to align stakeholders with compliance standards and sector trends.
Foster open communication, address stakeholder queries, and build trust within the team and networks.
Compile reports to established standards, identify compliance gaps, and implement improvements.
Oversee purchasing processes, addressing and resolving discrepancies in payment schedules.
Promote workplace health and safety, monitor risks, and ensure adherence to university policies.
Decision-Making and Delegations The Payroll Compliance Officer operates independently under broad supervision, prioritizing tasks and planning methods to meet goals.
As a subject matter expert, they are the first point of contact for compliance advice and resolve routine and complex matters collaboratively.
Qualifications and Experience Education : Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.
Skills : Strong communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
