About the role (your why)
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building impactful relationships? As a Partner Program Manager at Datacom, you'll be at the forefront of creating and nurturing strategic partnerships that drive innovation and growth. This role is all about making a difference building and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional value for Datacom and its customers. You'll take a lead in shaping how we engage with our vendors, ensuring a structured, programmatic approach that enhances collaboration and drives mutual success. Your efforts will be instrumental in accelerating growth and creating lasting partnerships that benefit everyone involved.
What you'll bring
An understanding of the IT supply chain within Australia and NZ, including channel management programs. Business acumen. Some financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue. Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring people and teams. Supplier contract negotiation, including multiple partner agreements and Preferred Supply Agreements. Financial management, including cost estimation and budget tracking and reporting. Experience with tender preparation. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives. Responsibilities
Implement a programmatic approach to a defined set partners and vendor relationships. Position Datacom as the market leader for appropriate new and existing technologies to market while also maximising the incentives, presales investments, marketing funds and any other resources that improves sales potential and profitability. Collaborate widely and with curiosity to drive the appropriate communications, governance and adherence with all the Lines of Business within Datacom to the programmatic approach. Ensure that day-to-day operations, including planning, partner impact, governance, incentives, targets, certifications, communications and contracts are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that service levels are met, and results delivered. Manage relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and business plans are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints. Ensure that external agencies and suppliers see Datacom in the best light and understand the full capability of Datacom. Ensure suitable collateral, business plans, pricing and sales enablement artefacts are in place. Culture and Benefits
