The Senior Medical Officer will provide high level specialist developmental paediatric services within the tertiary Childhood Hearing Clinic at the Queensland Children's Hospital. This clinic offers services to children with an existing permanent hearing loss where there are developmental and/or medical concerns needing to be addressed by a Developmental Paediatrician. The role supports high quality, safe and family centred care where families can gain an understanding of their child's hearing loss diagnosis, understand the implications for hearing, speech, language, and general development and make informed decisions for their child's future.
