Seastar, part of Avantor, is looking for a high energy Maintenance/Production Technician responsible for the maintenance of production, packaging and supply chain equipment as well as site facilities tasks.
This will report into the Operations Manager and will be a full-time position based in Sidney, BC.
What we're looking for: Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: 1–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility but this is not mandatory as we provide onsite training.
Good English written and oral communication skills
How you will thrive and create an impact: Follow Avantor's safety protocols.
Perform daily bottle preparation, filling, and packaging functions.
Daily cleaning, sanitizing, set up and maintain filling, packaging and warehouse areas and equipment.
Submit accurate records of filling and packaging work performed to the department Team Lead
Responsible for participating in achieving department's operational and service targets.
Familiarize yourself with and follow all procedures and SOPs related to the filling, packaging, and warehousing functions at Avantor.
Participate in any required training on the proper use and care of filling, packaging and warehouse related equipment.
Provide coverage for other Packaging Technicians and Warehouseperson when necessary.
Performs job responsibilities in a manner consistent with and supportive of the company's values.
Other activities as determined by the Operations Manager.
